*Bed Time Now Post later*|
Notes on trauma.
Glass from ceiling.
Reaction, traua redone.
traumatic events build resulting in tragic E.R.
Well. I was stoned a bit and making my bed. For what ever reason I stood on it to shake the sheets out. When I tossed it up I slammed my hand on the ceiling fan over the bed. For a moment I was back in that accident with the ceiling fixture. I paniced and looked at my
arm to see the gushing blood. Then I realized it was a traumatic reaction. It only lasted 3 seconds maybe.
I've often had recalls of trauma when stoned. For a few years after the internal bleeding [different issue] I would panic and check to make sure I was not bleeding. The recalls never lasted more than a few seconds though.
Mmmm, Negative emotional response?
were you stoned for each original tramatic event?
there are ways to recall something more efficiently than other ways. one way to remember something better is to be in the same state of mind when the original memory happened.
ex. in The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat by Oliver Sacks
one guy was on angel dust and apparently murdered his girlfriend. he awoke to find her body. he maintained he didn't do it yet evidence clearly pointed to him. he was put in a mental institution not a jail. he was quite normal there, unlike some of the other patients so sometimes the doctors let him roam around the area on a bike. one day, about two years later, he got in a severe accident with a car. he smacked his head pretty hard. he got some brain damage in a particular area, i'll have to find the story. anyway, that event 'woke up' the memory of his murdering his girlfriend. he was very traumatized after that. it's quite an interesting story.
now i'm going to stop writing because i am still mad at you.
